Turret's

Turret's, just like OCD, has similar yet different signs in children.  We would all like to think about the woman in "Duce Bigalow, Male Gigalo" that cursed all the time as being the ideal Turret's syndrome case.  However, those type of cases are severe and rare.

My son was at Headstart when it was first realized that his growling and grimacing was not normal.  We were so used to it that we didn't give it a second thought.  So we took him to a Neurologist and he said that his growling, grimacing, wincing, chirping, shrugging and so forth were both motor and vocal tics, AKA Turret's Syndrome.  This doesn't only affect how he looks to others, but it has many of the social issues involved as well.

Just like the OCD he has, being around friends his own age is a very big challenge for Jaerrid.  He can handle adults to a point, but classmates he cannot handle almost at all.  He cannot allow them into his personal space regardless if they are being nice or not.  He also can't share a toy with another child, if he cant have it no one can.

Jaerrid has been kicked out of Kindercare, not reaccepted by Headstart, and almost has been kicked out of his current daycare as well.

WE NEED HELP!

Jaerrid cannot transition from one environment to another without ample warning.  He has to have routine which is very typical for children with his problems.

Help Us Now

There is no minimum to donate.

EVERY penny helps!

We do what we can to give him a good life.

You tell this little cutie that the only thing standing between him and safety - LIFE- is a dollar.

How much do you spend on coffee everyday?

We are not asking for much, maybe even just 1 day of going without coffee.  Just think if many people did that for him, he could finally be SAFE!
